All our grain is NON-GMO Project Verified. It is tested for pesticides, herbicides and mycotoxins. So you can rest assured that you are getting the best food for you and your family.
Our animals have plenty of room to roam outside, dig, climb, scratch and more, just like Mother Nature intended. They forage for bugs, grasses, weeds and roots.
Our beef comes from next door, the cows are 100% Black Angus. They are raised by an old timer as a hobby so they don't come very often. They eat hay, silage and are grain finished with local conventional grain but we are converting to organic grain.
2018 has been a year of major transformation here at the farm. We and the animals worked hard to create new pastures. Our goats and new pigs have cleared brush and weeds from pasture land that had been neglected for years.
We still have a long ways to go. There are plenty of issues to work through and our goal in 2019 is to have a healthier, diversified pasture for our animals.
We are also creating a beautiful silvopasture in our woods where we will be able to graze our animals, create better wildlife habitats and a nice place to take a walk and relax with nature.
